How to Arrive at the IAA
Granada is a small city, and most places are within walking distance. The city centre is about 15 minutes on foot from the IAA.

- Bus lines: S2, S0, 11, and 9
- Metro: 10-minute walk from the Hípica stop
You can come by car, but please note that the area is very crowded in the mornings due to nearby schools.

The IAA
The meeting will take place at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC), founded in 1975.
The IAA operates two observatories:
- Observatorio de Sierra Nevada (Granada)
- Observatorio de Calar Alto (Almería) (in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía)
The institute is dedicated to astrophysical research and the development of instrumentation for ground-based and space observatories.

Travel to Granada
Plane
Granada has a small airport (Aeropuerto Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén or GRX) with connections to several Spanish and European cities. A bus service connects the airport to the city centre.
The Málaga Airport (Aeropuerto de Málaga–Costa del Sol or AGP) is much larger, with many international connections — it’s the 4th busiest airport in Spain. It is located only two hours by bus from Granada, or 1.5 hours by car.

Bus
Granada is well connected to most of Spain by bus.

Granada has a train station with high-speed (AVE) and regular train connections to several Spanish cities.
A trip from Madrid takes around 3.5 hours.

Car
Granada is a compact and walkable city, and the use of a car is not generally recommended due to its efficient public transport and the ease of getting around on foot. Nevertheless, travelling to Granada by car is always an option.
