Code of Conduct for the RIA Workshop 2025

This workshop is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all participants, including organizers, speakers, and attendees. All participants are expected to abide by the following code of conduct.

Professional conduct

The Photonic EMARCOT workshop is a professional event for networking and collaboration. Participants must be courteous and respectful at all times.
This event is dedicated to equal opportunity and prohibits discrimination based on gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or none), marital status, nationality, socioeconomic background, or any characteristic unrelated to scientific merit.
Diverse perspectives are expected, and constructive criticism of ideas is encouraged. Personal attacks of any kind are unacceptable.

Inappropriate conduct

Harassment, bullying, or intimidation are prohibited. Anyone requested to stop such behavior must comply immediately.
Harassment includes inappropriate behavior or language, unwelcome jokes or comments, unwanted attention, offensive images, nonconsensual sharing of digital information, and online stalking. Such misconduct undermines the integrity of the workshop.
Sexual language or imagery is strictly forbidden in any part of the workshop.

Scientific material

It is strictly forbidden to retain or share scientific material shown in presentations if it is marked as 'private' in the program or explicitly indicated by the speaker.
